About the project

Gekrafs (Gerakan Ekonomi Kreatif Nasional) is a national movement founded in 2020 to bring together and empower creative economy players across Indonesia. Gekrafs HST is its branch in Hulu Sungai Tengah, a South Kalimantan regency with Barabai as its capital. The area is known mostly for farming, rubber and mining, but its creative scene is growing.

The organization needed one place to introduce itself, show its board and programs, and reach out to local creatives. Everything lives on a single scrolling page, with separate forms for member registration and community feedback.

The challenge

A newly formed organization has to earn trust and attract members at the same time. Visitors need to understand what Gekrafs is, who runs it locally and what it has actually done, without clicking through many pages. The board alone has dozens of people across 11 fields and divisions, which could easily overwhelm a single page.

What I did

The 17 creative economy subsectors, each with its own illustrated card.

One-page structure

  • Built a one-page site in WordPress with Elementor Pro that tells the story in order: background and key statistics, the vision and mission as a 2025–2040 timeline, the 17 creative economy subsectors, a profile of the regency, the board, activities, and local creative players
  • Added a menu that jumps straight to each section and to the two forms

The board structure uses tabs per field, so a large team fits in one section.

Board structure

  • Built the board structure as tabs, one per field, so a large team stays easy to browse on both desktop and mobile

Activities and community

  • Built the activities section with photo galleries and participant testimonials, covering workshops such as Lenslab HST and the collaboration with Gekrafs South Kalimantan at Banua Creative Festival
  • Built a section that showcases local creative players in Hulu Sungai Tengah

Profile cards introduce local creative players, each with their own story.

Forms

  • Built the member registration form and the community feedback form, linked from the menu and the footer

Result

Gekrafs HST now has an official home online that introduces the organization, shows who runs it and what it has done, and gives local creatives a direct way to join.
